Zander K Hotel er et nybygg, men det betyr ikke at det ikke har en historie. Hotellet er oppkalt etter den bergenske kjøpmannen Alexander «Zander» Kaae (1712–1765), som også har gitt navn til gaten der hotellet holder til.
Kaae var kjent som en filantrop, og Zander Kaaes stiftelse for eldre trengende, et aldershjem for byens borgerlige stand, er i likhet med Zander K også en del av De Bergenske i form av vakre Villa Terminus, kun et lite steinkast fra moderne Zander K.
På hotellet finner du også Matbaren som serverer energisk stemning fra morgen til kveld, og retter basert på kortreiste, økologiske råvarer. Her spiser du både lunsj og middag. På kveldstid kan du smake øl fra lokale mikrobryggeri og økologisk vin i baren.
Du finner oss rett ved jernbanestasjonen i Bergen, Bystasjonen og ByGarasjen. Holdeplass flybuss og bybane er like i nærheten. Det er kort avstand til byens mange attraksjoner.
