What does Givn do?
Givn helps restaurants sell gift cards the easy way — tailored to the needs of the hospitality trade. We also sell Norway's most popular gift card for dining out, bringing restaurants more guests in the process.
How do I get paid?
Each month we pay out to your account for the gift cards you've sold in that period. Your entire monthly turnover arrives as a single payment, documented in its own monthly report.
Which payment methods can people use?
Individuals buying a gift card from your restaurant can pay with Vipps (the most popular), debit or credit card, Klarna and Apple/Google Pay. Businesses can pay by invoice or card. Givn invoices businesses automatically through our partner TWO, so you carry no credit risk.
What if there's value left on the gift card?
If a guest doesn't spend the full amount in one visit, the balance stays on the card for a later visit.
What happens to unused gift cards?
You can set a 1, 2 or 3-year expiry on the gift cards you sell. They can be extended if needed, subject to your approval. Once the expiry date has passed, your obligation for that gift card falls away and you can recognise the amount as revenue. You'll already have the money from us, since we pay out when the gift card is sold. We encourage all our customers to be flexible about extending expiry dates, so that as many guests as possible get to use their gift cards.
What does Givn cost?
Selling your own gift cards: no cost for the first 365 days (promotional offer). After that, a transaction fee per gift card sold.
Redeeming Givn gift cards: We keep a share of the gift card value guests spend at your restaurant. The rest we pay out to you.
What's needed to get started?
As soon as we've agreed to work together, you'll get a link to the page where your customers can buy gift cards. All you need to do is add this link to your website and anywhere else you'd like to offer gift cards. We'd also recommend adding "Gift card" as its own payment option on your till system. It usually takes less than a day from choosing Givn to selling your first gift cards. Givn requires no integration with either your till system or your website.
